This Kodak camera with case is in excellent condition overall. Designer Walter Dorwin Teague; considered the “Dean of Industrial Design”, designed this Art Deco camera and box in 1930 for the Eastman-Kodak Company. The camera is known as the “Kodak A1 Gift” model. The Art Deco inspired enamel and metal design on the display box, is mirrored on the front standard around the lens as well as the camera body.

The cedar display box is a very rare piece. Add to that, its near mint condition and you have a very special outfit. This listing also includes an original wooden take up spool.

The camera was only made for one year 1930-1931 with a production of only 10,000 units. This design is symbolic of the entrancement of the Art Deco movement in the United States. This particular camera is rare and very hard to find collectors item, a work of art. Don’t miss out on this chance to acquire a vintage 80+ year old part of history. Comes with its original wooden case and paperwork. In excellent condition overall.

This package includes the Kodak A1 Gift, outer cardboard box and cedar display box with enamel inlay.
