LEICA LEITZ M2 LEVER BLACK PAINT RANGEFINDER CAMERA BODY RARE EARLY #949083
-Original M2 black paint
-First batch of black paint cameras.
-Original untouched black paint patina
-Made in 1958 of a small batch of only 500 cameras
-Only 1851 black paint examples were ever produced. Most were with the self timer.
The non self timer version are the earliest and most rare.
This is the EARLIEST example of the first batch of black paint cameras. Very rare and nice to have such an example that is untouched and all original. Very nice and great patina.
Also nice to have the RARE and original black paint base plate with the UNIQUE black painted open/close lever. This was specific to the earliest M2 cameras only. Later the black paint base plates were stocked with chrome open/close levers. These base plates are specfic and unique to the earliest M2 button or lever rewind version ONLY! A must to have with this camera and this particular one still has it. NICE!
-Rare black paint finish example
-Cat No.10835M (KOOHE)
-No dings, dents or marks
-Shows signs of wear on the black paint finish but nice to have all original
-Great bubble patina in certain places and really overall very nice for a M black paint camera!
-Shutter speeds are accurate
-All camera functions working normally
-Shutter curtain is light leak free
-Rangefinder/viewfinder bright and clean
Really a very rare camera. The M2 can also be put with a Leicavit MP black paint to make it even more spectacular. Truly something special and very hard to find. Worth every penny and great to have untouched and original!
