This Leica extremely early 1954 M3 Double Stroke rangefinder camera body is in excellent condition cosmetically, mechanically and optically. Serial #701001. This is an early first batch example M3. Production first started in 1954 with the serial number 700001. This is the 1001th M3 ever made. Extremely rare and hard to find M3 that features all the characteristics of the first batch of M3's including the rabbit ear lugs, glass pressure plate, two guide pins on the film track, half moon pin on the shoe, no L seal screw on the film mount ring, and early speeds found on the first few hundred released M3's have.
