LEICA LEITZ M3 LAST BATCH DS CHROME RANGEFINDER TRANSITIONAL FILM CAMERA L SEAL!
-Serial no. 913624
-A beautiful transitional M3 camera. Made in 1957
-Double stroke film advance mechanism
-Still with the original L seal never opened or touched!
This is an outstanding example of a historic LAST BATCH of the chrome DOUBLE STROKE cameras. After this point, Leica switched over to the later SS SINGLE STROKE cameras.
It has all the characteristics of THE finest Leica every made.
Silent return on the arm of the film advance lever.
Longer R Rewind switch over lever.
Newer 13 speeds shutter speed dial.
Rabbit ear lugs ( better built and made )
Smaller Round eye piece with the two pieces of glass and rope to seal it ( over the later one which did not )
.....and so much more that the "transitional cameras had"
This is a historic find of the last DOUBLE STROKE batch of cameras, still with all the older "better built" features, newer speeds ( which was the last improvement for Leica ) and after this point, and after this batch, having lesser, more cost effective characteristic ( such as the single stroke mechanism ) and, later the lugs, levers and so on...
-No film preview lever
-50/90/135mm frame lines
-Cat No. 10150
-Rear flash sync cap
-No dings, dents or major marks

-Letherette is all intact except a small on the front and where the base plate attaches. Black has bee touched up

-All camera is working well but since it has the L seal, I am sure it could use a simple CLA but this is historic since it has never been opened or touched. Original L seal!
