-Transitional M3 example with the best features the early cameras and now
with the current later style film speeds
-Features the early style rabbit ear lugs, short arm double stroke, silent return
arm, round eye piece with double glass, proper # engraved chassis, all of
these of the early classic better made M3 but the last and final improvement
for Leica in 1957 after # 854000 with the later style shutter speed dial.

This camera was once owned by German photographer Wilhelm Rauh.
He can be seen using this camera in a photo inside the included brochure. 
The brochure is in German, but it was created for an exhibit of his work December 13 - March 2001 
at the Historisches Museum Bayreuth

-Very VERY Minor haze in the lens

These are my favorite cameras and the perfect camera in many respects. You can read my article on the M3 transitional and compare it to the features of this camera. This is really the PINNACLE of Leica. Beautiful condition and truly a magnificent example. A pleasure to have and enjoy!
