Description

-Made in 1962 in a very small batch of 200. Wetzlar, Germany
-Original M2 black paint
-Original untouched black paint patina
-Lever rewind, self timer example
-Only 1851 black paint examples were ever produced according to Leica Wiki and 1871 according to Laney Reference book.
-Very rare and nice to have such an example that is all original, untouched very nice, great patina

Note: This camera has been engraved with the initials "AM #4"
on the back side of the top plate by the film advance.

This is a wonderful camera. Similar to the original MP, the M2 is the only other vintage camera made to accept the Leicavit MP winder. Original black lugs, levers, back door, screws and all. Also, to find one untouched, with the original patina. Black paint bubbles, wonderful brassing and unique experience that each "used" vintage black paint camera brings. Really wonderful!
