Leica M-P 240 Safari green edition set…welcome to the jungle!
This camera is not everyone’s cup of tea, but “green” tea is one of the most consumed in the world! The wild wonderful world of Leica special editions…it’s a jungle out there!

The shade of green with the contrast silver chrome preview lever, shutter speed dial, and shutter release button, along with the classic M-P classic style script on the top plate make this a camera I couldn’t help falling in love with. Matched with my beige Billingham Leica bag with the green interior I found the perfect walk around camera set.

You have to match this camera with chrome lenses only because of the accents – the black lenses look weird. The 35mm F2 Summicron-M ASPH lens that it comes with is the perfect lens to have. Short, the one lens focal length to have in your bag, which renders beautifully. Brass construction, silver lens with an all metal (not plastic) matching silver shade.

I think that this is one of the best deals that you can find. The current regular version M-P 240 sells for $5,500 to $6,000. The 35mm F2 Summicron-M ASPH $2,000 to $2,500 in the open market. Why wouldn’t you invest the same amount or less to buy this limited edition for $8,000 to $8,500 market price? Great potential as a future investment.
